The V Mesh Security Fencing range includes panels in the following sizes:

Standard Panel size

Most suppliers offer a generic size of 200 x 50mm, the wire measures 4mm after coating, but we offer two: 200 x 45mm and 200 x 30mm. The wire measures 5mm before coating. The wire is welded together with horizontal V-shaped beams pressed into the panel to create a sturdy anti-climb mesh fence. The V-shape creates tension in the panel.

Both panels have unique vandal-proof panels to post fixings, 3-4 folds per panel according to height, and panels that overlap onto posts to prevent large gaps between panels and posts.

While most V-net Security Fence System is galvanized, our V net panels are available with a Galfan® zinc alloy coating on request for superior corrosion resistance. The zinc alloy coating is more ductile and resists cracking, thus improving weldability and formability, which is critical for V-Mesh Fencing due to the reinforced V-profile. In addition to the zinc alloy coating, a polyester powder coating in a variety of architectural grade colors can be optionally added.

    Hot dip Galvanizing Process

    Hot-dip galvanizing is our preferred method of applying a protective zinc coating to baling wire. Our manufacturing process uses the following 7-stage process:

    1. Surface Preparation: Workers first clean the wire, removing impurities to ensure the zinc bonds uninhibitedly.

    2. Pickling: Next, an acid solution removes the remaining oxides and scales, preparing the surface for reactivity.

    3. Flux: A zinc chloride solution prepares the stripped surface prior to dipping and prevents oxidation risk.

    4. Galvanizing Bath: The wire is then dipped into 450° C molten zinc.

    5. Alloy Formation: The continued heat and zinc contact cause the iron molecules in the steel to diffuse into the molten zinc, forming a corrosion-resistant, overall metal coating.

    6. Pull-out: The wire is gradually withdrawn, metering off excess liquid to achieve an even surface.

    7. Quenching: The galvanized wire is rapidly cooled by a water jet, which quickly solidifies and locks the protective zinc barrier in place.

    There are several different grades of galvanizing available. While we recommend choosing 3-grade galvanizing, they all have their own advantages:

    1. Grade 1 galvanizing is a basic type of coating used primarily in farm applications. It involves a single dip in the zinc coating with a minimum coating thickness of 0.28 ounces per square foot. However, it will begin to rust quickly and typically lasts 2-11 years, depending on the environment.

    2. Grade 3 galvanizing is a stronger, longer-lasting galvanizing that requires two zinc dips, resulting in a thicker coating of 0.80 ounces per square foot. It is more durable and can last up to 13-30 years. It also uses a three-layer anti-corrosion technology for better rust protection.

    Double wire mesh fence is made of high quality low carbon steel wire. Each welded point is welded with one vertical and two horizontal wires, compared with ordinary welded fence panels, double wire fence has higher strength and can withstand larger impacts and high winds.     Global manufacturing PMI rebounds

    The global manufacturing PMI was 49.3%, and the JPMorgan Chase global manufacturing PMI rebounded from the contraction range to 50.0%. The global economic recovery showed signs of steady growth.

    Hot rolled coil

    The price of Chinese hot-rolled coil (HRC) remained stable, with mainstream steel mills quoting at $525/ton FOB China. However, buyers generally waited and watched, and the intended price mostly remained around $490/ton FOB. Although traders reported that some steel mills provided more competitive quotation discounts to some customers to stimulate demand, the overall transaction situation was still not very active.

    As of press time, the tradable price of Chinese export SS400 4.75mm hot coil was about $497/ton FOB Tianjin Port, down $5/ton from the previous week.

    Medium plate

    Prices rose slightly, but trading conditions remained weak. SS400 12-20 mm thick plate prices rose slightly, with export quotations rising slightly to $496/ton FOB, up $1/ton from last week, and overall export quotations rising to $515-545/ton FOB. However, buyers’ bids were still low, concentrated in the $490-492/ton FOB range, and the actual transaction price was $495-505/ton FOB. Chinese steel mills were under significant break-even pressure. The A36 grade medium and thick plate price for the Vietnamese market was $535/ton CFR. At the same time, the Korean market lacked purchasing demand due to the anti-dumping investigation against Chinese medium and thick plates.

    The overall price remained stable. The demand for industrial wire rods was weaker than that for building materials, but the rebound of rebar futures provided some support for wire rod prices. China’s wire rod export quotation was roughly stable at US$520-530/ton FOB. The market transaction price was between US$490-500/ton FOB. Despite the mild demand, exporters still held a steady outlook for the market outlook and kept their quotations firm.

    The Chinese steel billet export market showed a trend of rising first and then falling. Some Chinese steel mills raised their quotations. The quotations of 3SP steel billets to Thailand and Indonesia rose by 5-10 US dollars to 490-495 US dollars/ton CFR. The quotations of 3SP steel billets to Manila were 485-490 US dollars/ton CFR. The FOB quotations of Chinese steel mills remained at 472-475 US dollars/ton FOB.     More than just a name

    This type of fencing is made from steel wires welded together to form a sturdy grid. The grid is then shaped and used to make fencing panels.     Rated capacity is the load that a new wire rope may handle under given operating conditions and at an assumed design factor. A design factor of 5 is chosen most frequently for wire rope which equates to operating loads not exceeding 20% of the catalog Breaking Strength. This rope can stand up against abrasion or crushing on the drum.

    When a project calls for lifting or suspending a load, cable and wire rope is often the first choice because of its cost, strength, flexibility, and versatility. Compared to a solid steel rod, steel cable is nearly as strong and has the capability to bend due to its construction of many small wires.

    1.) Cables of different types and structures have different properties. For example, aircraft cables and wire ropes made of many thin wires are more flexible, but small wires are more fragile and break easily.

    2.) Steel cables with larger wires are more abrasion resistant but are much stiffer. The wires are twisted into strands, and the strands are twisted to form the cable.

    3.) Using this method of twisting the wires and strands increases the strength, and reliability of the cable by balancing the load on all the wires.

    4.) The wear resistance is also increased because the outer wires of the strands are equally exposed to wear and will wear more evenly.

    Aircraft cable is made from 7 strands of 19 wires each. There are 6 outer strands that are preformed (bent into a helix) and one center twisted strand.

    The construction of the center strand is similar to the outer strands, so it is included in the strand count.

     

     

    7×19 and 7×7 cables are common for diameters 3/8” and smaller because of the simplicity of construction.

    Larger diameters typically use wire rope construction methods that allow much more versatility of features to match the intended application.

     

    2. What is 6×19 IWRC?

    The literal meaning is 6 strands of 19 steel wires twisted together, but it looks like there are 7 strands in total. The center strand is actually a smaller diameter wire rope. IWRC stands for

     

     

    “Independent Wire Rope Core”, and allows for increased flexibility, bending fatigue life, and crush resistance. ½” diameters and above typically use wire rope construction methods.

    This simply means that the 1×19 stainless steel cable is the least flexible in relation to the 7×19 galvanized cable. In relation to the other two, the 7×19 Stainless Steel cable falls between the two in terms of flexibility.

    Matching Attachment’s Working Load Limit

    The accessories that come with the wire rope must have at least the same working load limit as the wire rope.The rigging assembly can only be rated up to the weakest component minus any termination efficiencies.

    Clips, sockets, thimbles, sleeves, hooks, links, shackles, sheaves, blocks, etc. must match in size, material and strength to provide adequate safety protection. Proper installation is crucial for maximum efficiency and safety.

    How to correctly measure the diameter of wire rope

    The wire rope should be measured at the peaks of the relative strands rather than the non-relative valleys. The below figure shows the correct way to measure the cable diameter.

    Inspect Wire Rope Regularly

    Use inspection instructions as guidelines only. Two of the most important prerequisites for inspecting wire rope are technical knowledge and experience.

    Check the general condition of the wire. Also, look for localized damage and wear, especially at wire rope attachments. Inspect all parts that come in contact with the wire rope. Poor performance of wire rope can often be traced back to worn or wrong-sized sheaves, drums, rollers, etc. Look for kinks, broken wires, abrasions, lack of lubrication, rust damage, crushing, reduction of diameter, stretch, or other obvious damage. If any of these conditions exist or if there is any other apparent damage to the wire rope, retire the wire rope.

    Note: When in doubt about the extent of the damage, retire the wire rope in question immediately. Without laboratory analysis, it is impossible to determine the strength of damaged or used wire. Thus, you will not be able to tell whether wire rope with any amount of damage is safe to use. Retire the wire rope that is damaged. For specific inspection procedures check various OSHA, WRTB, ANSI, and ASTM publications.
