What is PVC Coated Chicken wire?
PVC coated chicken wire, also known as plastic coated hexagonal wire mesh, is made from galvanized steel wire woven into a hexagonal pattern and then coated with a layer of PVC. Manufacturing process
Prepare the Materials
1) Raw materials: low carbon steel wire, electro-galvanized steel wire (thin coating, cheaper), hot dip galvanized steel wire (thicker zinc layer, more durable).
2) PVC compound: mixture of PVC resin, plasticizer, stabilizer, pigment, flame retardant, etc.
Production steps
Die drawn steel wire → cleaning → galvanizing (cold/hot galvanizing) → automatic weaving machine weaving hexagonal wire mesh → cleaning, phosphating → PVC coating (extrusion coating, dip coating) → high temperature oven 180°C–220°C curing → water or air cooling → quality testing → packaging.
