SS chicken mesh chemical composition

Stainless steel chicken wire mesh is usually made of 304 or 316 stainless steel. The chemical composition of these two types of stainless steel is as follows:

304 stainless steel chicken wire

Contains 18% chromium (Cr) and 8% nickel (Ni), as well as small amounts of carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), and phosphorus (P). 304 stainless steel has good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties, suitable for most environments.

316 stainless steel chicken wire

2% molybdenum (Mo) is added on the basis of 304, which further improves the corrosion resistance, especially in the chloride environment. Extremely resistant to pitting, it is commonly used in marine environments or in the chemical industry.

According to the weaving method

1. Plain weave: the most common weave with uniform mesh and high strength.

2. Twill weave: better flexibility and tensile strength, suitable for complex shape installation.

According to the surface treatment

1. Bright surface: smooth surface, beautiful and easy to clean.

2. Galvanized surface: further improves corrosion resistance, suitable for extreme environments.

Production process

1. Raw material preparation: Choose high quality stainless steel wire and make sure its chemical composition and physical properties meet the standard.

2. Wire drawing: The stainless steel wire rod is cold drawn into steel wire of the required diameter by a wire drawing machine.

3. Weaving: Adopt an automatic weaving machine to weave the steel wire into a mesh structure with an even and flat grid.

4. Surface treatment: Optional, according to customer requirements, the mesh surface is brightly treated, galvanized. Or further plasticized.

5. Cutting: Cut the woven wire mesh rolls into the required sizes with the weight of 10kg, 20kg, 50kg, or 20m/roll, 100m/roll.

6. Packing: Packed in rolls with plastic film, waterproof woven fabric, wooden pallets, and so on.
