Stainless Steel Mesh Roll Type

(1) Woven SS steel mesh: Plain weave: The most common, with a top-bottom wire pattern. Twill weave: Two tops and two bottoms, suitable for thicker wires.

(2) Welded SS steel wire mesh: The structure is spot welded cross points. Hole type is rectangular or square.

(3) Expanded SS steel mesh: Made by stamping and stretching metal sheets, the mesh can have a 3D effect.

(4) Perforated SS mesh: Holes are laser cut on solid metal sheets. Available in a variety of colors and hole shapes, can be processed according to drawings.

(5) PVC coated stainless steel mesh: a composite metal mesh roll with a layer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plastic coating on the stainless steel wire mesh.

Applications in different industries

• Filtration and separation: 10–100µm mesh is commonly used for pharmaceutical screening. 1–5mm mesh is used in water treatment plants. Recommended grade: 316L (antimicrobial).
• Architecture and design: Woven mesh can be used for exterior wall cladding, such as GKD metal fabric. Extended 430 mesh: railings.
• Safety and security: Welded 316 mesh can be used for prison barriers. Heavy perforated mesh is used for machine guards.
• Food and chemical processing: Polished 304 mesh is used for baking conveyor belts. Marine stainless steel 316 mesh is used for brine filtration.

Stainless Steel Mesh Roll Manufacturing Process

(1) Drawing: Cold drawing of raw stainless steel rods to precise diameter wires.

(2) Braiding/welding: Automatic looms weave the wires together, or welding machines spot weld the aligned stainless steel wires at their intersections.

(3) Heat treatment: Annealing relieves stress and improves flexibility.

(4) Surface treatment: Electropolishing is available for smoother, more sanitary properties, or PVC coating is available for increased corrosion and wear resistance.
