Manufacturing Process

There are two main methods: one involves hot-dip galvanizing the entire product after weaving low-carbon steel wire into a crimped pattern; the other involves crimping galvanized wire into a corrugated pattern before weaving.

1. Weaving First, Then Galvanizing

Carefully selected Q195 or Q235 low-carbon wire rod is cold-drawn to the target wire diameter. The wire is then machine-rolled to form a low-carbon wire with regular undulations. Next, a weaving machine feeds the wire in both vertical and horizontal directions to form a mesh, which is then galvanized.

This process involves galvanizing the entire black carbon steel mesh panel.

2. Galvanize First, Weave Later

Similarly, fine wire drawn from low-carbon wire rod is used. The wire is galvanized first, then rolled into a corrugated shape, and finally automatically woven into a mesh.

3 Weaving Methods

The weaving methods include Double-Crimp, Lock-Crimp, and Flat-Top, among which Double-Crimp is the most commonly used. This method interlocks the crests and troughs of the horizontal and vertical wires, resulting in low material friction.

4 Types of Edge Finishes

Wanzhi Steel offers four types of edge finishes: Raw Edge, Folded Edge, Wire-Wrapped Edge, and Welded Frame Edge.

• Raw Edge: The edge consists of exposed wire with no further processing; this is the simplest and most cost-effective option.
• Folded Edge: The edge wire is bent entirely inward, reducing the risk of scratches.
• Wire-Wrapped Edge: The outer edge of the mesh is wrapped with an additional loop of wire. All exposed ends are fully enclosed.
• Welded Frame Edge: The edges are enclosed within galvanized square tube, galvanized round tube, or angle iron and secured by welding, resulting in a finished mesh panel.
