• Electrogalvanizing: Basic rust protection (5-10μm zinc layer).

Golden Rules For Selection

1. Diameter calculation:

Staple diameter ≥ 1/3 of wire diameter (e.g. to fix 2mm wire, choose staple legs ≥ 0.7mm).

2. Length formula:

Staple penetration depth = Wood thickness x 0.6 (to avoid penetration).

3. Corrosion Protection:

For wet areas, choose the zinc layer ≥50μm or 304 stainless steel.

1. Ultra-short type (1/2″-3/4″)

• Diameter: 1.2-1.6mm (16-18 SWG).
• Length: 1/2″-3/4″.
• Avoid wood cracking (especially suitable for softwoods such as pine).
• Not suitable for high tension scenes.

2. Standard type (1″-1.5″)

• Diameter: 1.8-2.2mm (14-15 SWG).
• Length: 1″-1.5″, 1/2 inch to 2 inches.
• Construction specifications: 2-3 staples per column (at a 30° angle), with a spacing of 40-60cm (adjusted according to wind pressure).

3. Extended type (2″-2.5″)

• Diameter: 2.4-2.8mm (12-13 SWG)
• Special design: hot-dip galvanized layer ≥ 60μm (anti-livestock friction corrosion). It is recommended to use a pneumatic staple gun (efficiency increased by 5 times).

4. Heavy Duty (3″-4″)

• Diameter: 3.0-3.5mm (10-11 SWG).
• Length: 3″-4″, 2″ to 3″.

Manufacturing process

① Wire drawing: Carbon steel wire is drawn into a precise diameter (1.5-3 mm).

② Galvanizing: Hot dip galvanizing process: 1. Pickling → 2. Flux application → 3. Zinc bath immersion (450°C). Electrogalvanizing: The zinc layer is thinner and cheaper.

③ Staple forming: The metal wire is bent into a U shape by a CNC machine. The tip is polished at an angle of 30-45°.

④ Coating (optional): PVC/ powder coating is used for coloring/insulation.

⑤ Quality control: Salt spray test: Hot dip galvanized staples are tested for more than 500 hours. Shear strength test: Ensure that the staple legs can withstand hammering.
