Customer Background
The customer is from Monaco, a small city-state. Despite its small size, it has a well-developed tourism industry. He couldn’t find a supplier with a suitable price and long-term supply in bulk, so he found us through Google. He emphasized the need for high-quality and high-performance steel strands for the production of cables and heavy-duty chains. Finally, he placed an order for a total of 284 tons of two types of steel strands.
Order details
1. Prestressed steel strand: 234 tons. 7-wire construction, 15.2mm diameter, strength level 1860MPa, uncoated. Wooden roller packaging.
2. Galvanized Steel Strand: 50 tons, specifications are 1×7 structure, diameter 8mm, zinc layer Z40, G90. Roll and Wooden roller packaging.
Characteristics of prestressed steel strand and galvanized steel strand
1. Prestressed steel strand
Prestressed concrete strand is also called PC strand. It is an uncoated low-relaxation prestressed steel strand. This type of steel strand has high strength and good relaxation performance, which can effectively improve the bearing capacity and durability of concrete structures. It is widely used in beams, slabs, columns and other structures of large buildings.
2. Galvanized Steel Strand
It has excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for outdoor building structures, such as building fences, cables, etc. Through hot-dip galvanizing treatment, a dense galvanized layer is formed on the surface of the steel strand, which effectively prolongs its service life in harsh environments.
